Points then run 12-10-8-6-4-2-1 down to tenth place; drivers outside the top ten score nothing. If two drivers finish the season level on points, the tiebreaker goes to whoever has more race wins. Should that also tie, the count moves to second-place finishes, then third, and so on until the tie breaks.
