LMP2
Inter Europol Competition and Algarve Pro Racing have emerged as the top contenders in the LMP2 class after the second free practice session at the 4 Hours of SPA.
Inter Europol Competition’s Jonathan ABERDEIN set the fastest time of 2:04.530 in the #43 Oreca 07 – Gibson, closely followed by Alexander Lynn of Algarve Pro Racing who recorded a time of 2:04.717 in the #25 Oreca 07 – Gibson. IDEC Sport and Duqueine Team completed the top 4 in the LMP2 class.
LMP2 PRO AM
United Autosports USA and COOL Racing were the top teams in the LMP2 Pro/Am class after the second free practice session at the 4 Hours of SPA.
Nelson PIQUET JR of United Autosports USA set the fastest time of 2:05.630 in the #21 Oreca 07 – Gibson, followed by Malthe JAKOBSEN of COOL Racing who recorded a time of 2:05.717 in the #37 Oreca 07 – Gibson. Proton Competition and DragonSpeed USA completed the top 4 in the LMP2 Pro/Am class.
The battle for pole position in the LMP2 Pro/Am class is also likely to be intense, with just a few hundredths of a second separating the top teams.
LMP3
Team Virage and WTM by Rinaldi Racing emerged as the top contenders in the LMP3 class after the second free practice session at the 4 Hours of SPA. Manuel Espirito Santo of Team Virage set the fastest time of 2:12.212 in the #8 Ligier JS P320 – Nissan, closely followed by Oscar Tunjo of WTM by Rinaldi Racing who recorded a time of 2:12.452 in the #12 Duqueine M30 – D08 – Nissan. Nielsen Racing and DKR Engineering completed the top 4 in the LMP3 class.
The battle for pole position in the LMP3 class is also likely to be intense, with just a few tenths of a second separating the top teams.
Team Virage and WTM by Rinaldi Racing will be looking to build on their strong showing in the second free practice session and secure pole position for the 4 Hours of SPA.
LMGTE
Iron Lynx and Proton Competition were the top teams in the LMGTE class after the second free practice session at the 4 Hours of SPA. Matteo CAIROLI of Iron Lynx set the fastest time of 2:17.096 in the #60 Porsche 911 RSR – 19, followed by Julien Andlauer of Proton Competition who recorded a time of 2:17.348 in the #77 Porsche 911 RSR – 19.
Proton Competition and Formula Racing completed the top 4 in the LMGTE class.
The qualifying will take place at 2PM today.
