The second and final 90-minute Free Practice session ahead of the 4 Hours of Monza saw the no31 TDS Racing x Vaillante Oreca lead the timing screens. The Swiss team’s driver Mathias Beche set a lap time of 1m39.079 at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. This was nearly 0.4 seconds slower than the best time set by Jack Aitken in the no34 Racing Team Turkey Oreca in FP1 yesterday.
LMP2, LMP3, and LMGTE Classes
Cool Racing finished second fastest in FP2, with Yifei Ye setting a lap time that was just 0.011s slower than the best overall time in the session. The Panis Racing and Muehlner Motorsport were third and fourth fastest respectively, with the top 11 cars split by just over 0.5 seconds.
On the other hand, the no15 RLR MSport Ligier headed the LMP3 class with Valentino Catalano’s time of 1m45.613. Ross Kaiser put the no6 360 Racing Ligier into second spot, just six hundredths of a second behind the German driver’s lap time. Meanwhile, Mexico’s Sebastian Alvarez was third quickest in the DKR Engineering Duqueine, 0.6 seconds ahead of the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier.
While the times in LMP2 and LMP3 were slower than those set in FP1, the overall best time of the weekend so far was set in FP2 in the LMGTE class. Davide Rigon in the no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari lapped the 5.793km Monza circuit in 1m48.685, two tenths faster than the best time set in FP1. The no18 Absolute Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19, with Martin Rump at the wheel, finished the session 0.241s behind the Iron Lynx Ferrari and 0.065s ahead of the no77 Proton Competition Porsche of Gianmaria Bruni.

Qualifying Session
The Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Monza will take place at 13h40 later today, starting with the LMGTE session, followed by LMP3 at 14h00 and LMP2 at 14h20.
