Spanish racing driver Fernando Alonso has hinted at the possibility of joining Red Bull in 2025, stating that he believes he is on their list of potential drivers.

Alonso, who currently competes for Aston Martin, is known for his impressive track record and vast experience in Formula One. As his contract for 2025 remains unsettled, the two-time World Champion sees an opportunity to potentially join the prestigious Red Bull team.

I think I am on the list because I don’t have a contract at the moment (for 2025),” Alonso said. “It’s better to be on this list than on others.

Alonso Weighs in on Off-Track Discussions and FIA Inquiry

In addition to contemplating his future in the sport, Alonso has also addressed recent discussions surrounding off-track matters. He believes that the lack of excitement on the track has led to an increase in conversations outside of it.

With one car dominating the last 72 Grand Prix races, it is no surprise that the sport has seen its fair share of off-track activity.

There is too much discussion off-track because on-track, it’s not very exciting at the moment,” Alonso stated. “There is a car that has won the last 72 Grands Prix, which has more or less dominated for three years, so when that happens in sport, there is always a lot of activity off-track.

Addressing the Ben Sulayem Intervention Rumors

Alonso recently reacted to rumors that FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem intervened to cancel his penalty at last year’s race in Djeddah.

The Spanish driver does not view this as a problem but rather an investigation that must be respected.

As the FIA looks into the matter, Alonso remains focused on the sport and the upcoming season.

As far as we’re concerned, it’s not a problem, but rather an investigation by the FIA that we must respect and we’ll see the outcome,” Alonso said.
