Pierre Waché, Technical Director of Red Bull, has stated that the Austrian team did not “do a fantastic job” on the RB19. However, he believes that it was their competition that failed to deliver.
The Car Performance
Waché has admitted that the RB19 is only “moderately good” in all areas, which has allowed them to create a strong car.
He says that it isn’t particularly good in one specific area, but is still a good car because they are faster than their competitors. He believes that they have done a good job but not a fantastic one.
He further added that their expectations were different at the beginning of the year because he was more surprised by their competitors who didn’t do as good a job.
