Motorsport enthusiasts brace for a rare thrill as Scuderia AlphaTauri announces plans to auction over 300 items of coveted Formula 1 memorabilia.

The collection, a treasure trove of Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri artefacts, is available in partnership with the online auction house, Catawiki.

The collection comprises a fascinating array of pieces, including car parts, driver race suits and helmets, and pit crew overalls.

Notably, a race-driven STR11 from 2016 is set to be the prize for one lucky bidder. The first in a series of five online auctions is currently open for bidding, with the subsequent ones slated for August, September, November, and December.

A plethora of car parts dating back to 2013 has already been paraded on the auction block. Avid fans now have the rare chance to claim gear worn by former Red Bull juniors, including Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, and Max Verstappen, as well as the current dynamic duo of Yuki Tsunoida and Nyck de Vries.

AlphaTauri is also auctioning Pierre Gasly‘s 2021 race seat, Max Verstappen’s 2016 race gear suite, a STR12 front wing used by Carlos Sainz during the 2017 Austrian Grand Prix, and a 2021 AT02 rear wing used by Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.

Arguably the show-stopper of the event, chassis four of the 2016 Scuderia Toro Rosso STR11, driven by Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat, is up for grabs. The car will be auctioned without an engine but will feature fully functional electronics, steering, and suspension.

AlphaTauri team principal, Franz Tost, stated, “I am pleased to bring F1 collectors closer to the rich history of our team and give them the opportunity to own a piece of our own history.”

Meanwhile, Genevieve Tearle, General Manager of Collectibles at Catawiki, expressed pride in their association with Scuderia AlphaTauri, and their role in helping to open up the team’s archives to F1 enthusiasts.

Proceeds from the first auction will partially benefit the City of Faenza’s relief aid operations that seek to support those affected by the May flooding in the region. Further auctions will contribute to Wings for Life, Red Bull’s not-for-profit organisation.

This remarkable auction initiative by AlphaTauri creates a unique opportunity for fans across the globe to own a tangible piece of F1 history, while simultaneously supporting humanitarian causes.
