The opening ELMS Free Practice at the 4 Hours of Aragon was delayed for 50 minutes to fix the barriers that were damaged in a previous session. The 90-minute session was marked by several stop-and-go penalties for track limit violations. The no37 COOL Racing Oreca-Gibson ended the session on top, setting a 1m48.738 with Danish driver Malthe Jakobsen at the wheel. The no25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca was second-fastest and the quickest of the seven LMP2 cars. The no30 Duqueine Team Oreca and the no28 IDEC Sport Oreca were third and fourth fastest, respectively.

In LMP2 Pro/Am, the no37 COOL Racing Oreca-Gibson dominated the session, setting the fastest time. The no21 United Autosports Oreca of former ELMS Champion Filipe Albuquerque was second-fastest in the category. The no25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca was the fastest of the LMP2 cars.

LMP3

The championship-leading no17 Ligier Nissan of COOL Racing was the fastest of the LMP3 entries, setting a time of 1m53.601. The no8 Team Virage Ligier was second-quickest, with the no31 Racing Spirit of Leman Ligier in third place.

LMGTE

Iron Lynx set the pace in the LMGTE category, with Porsche filling the top three positions. Matteo Cairoli set the best time for the Italian team, lapping the 5.34km Aragon circuit in 1m58.347. The no93 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Richard Lietz was second-fastest, just 0.029s behind Cairoli. The no16 Proton Competition Porsche was third-fastest, with 4 Hours of Barcelona winner Alessio Picariello at the wheel.
