Sergio “Checo” Pérez is a Mexican racing driver who currently competes for Red Bull Racing in Formula One. He has previously raced for Sauber, McLaren, Force India, and Racing Point during his career. Pérez made his F1 debut in 2011 with Sauber, and earned his first podium finish in 2012 at the Malaysian Grand Prix. He joined McLaren for the 2013 season but did not achieve a podium finish, leading to his departure from the team.

Pérez joined Force India in 2014 with a €15 million contract, and stayed with the team when it reformed as Racing Point in 2019. In 2020, he won his first F1 Grand Prix at the Sakhir Grand Prix, and later earned his first pole position at the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Pérez has a contract with Red Bull Racing until the end of the 2024 season.
