The second free practice session of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps weekend was declared wet due to the rain that fell on the track, which affected lap times compared to yesterday’s FP1. However, towards the end of the session, as the track dried, there was a flurry of faster times from various teams in all three classes.
Team Turkey Takes the Lead in LMP2
During the session’s last 60 seconds, Racing Team Turkey’s Oreca no34, driven by Charlie Eastwood, set the fastest lap time of 2m07.756, 0.151 seconds ahead of Alexander Peroni’s no47 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca. The no43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca came in third at 2m08.636, with the no65 Panis Racing Oreca just 0.037 seconds behind in fourth place.
These results indicate that the LMP2 class is shaping up to be a highly competitive one, with the top four teams pushing hard to claim the top spot on the podium. Racing fans are eagerly anticipating the qualifying round to see who will come out on top.
