LMP2
Algarve Pro Racing’s Alexander Lynn set the fastest time in LMP2 qualifying for the 4 Hours of SPA, securing pole position for the team. Lynn’s time of 2:03.564 was just ahead of United Autosports USA’s Philip Hanson, who posted a time of 2:03.672. IDEC Sport’s Laurents HÖRR completed the top three with a time of 2:03.789, while Duqueine Team’s René Binder finished fourth with a time of 2:04.197.
Speaking after qualifying, Algarve Pro Racing team member James Allen said, “We have done a very good team job, I hope we can finish this job tomorrow and win.”
LMP2 PRO AM
In LMP2 Pro-Am, Racing Team Turkey’s Salih Yoluc set the fastest time with a time of 2:05.221, ahead of Proton Competition’s Giorgio Roda, who posted a time of 2:05.874. DKR Engineering’s Tom Van Rompuy finished third with a time of 2:07.112, while Cool Racing’s Alexandre Coigny finished fourth with a time of 2:07.307.
Yoluc said in an interview, “We hope for a better result than Aragon, Spa is my favorite track by a mile. I think we can win the overall race.”
LMP3
In LMP3, WTM Racing by Rinaldi’s Oscar Tunjo set the fastest time with a time of 2:10.554, ahead of Team Virage’s Manuel Espirito Santo, who posted a time of 2:11.285.
Nielsen Racing’s Ryan Harper-Ellam finished third with a time of 2:11.630, while Eurointernational’s Glenn Van Berlo finished fourth with a time of 2:11.943.
LMGTE
Proton Competition’s Ryan Hardwick set the fastest time in LMGTE with a time of 2:17.385, ahead of TF Sport’s Arnold Robin, who posted a time of 2:18.039.
JMW Motorsport’s Martin Berry finished third with a time of 2:18.362, while GMB Motorsport’s Jens Reno Moller finished fourth with a time of 2:18.436.
Hardwick said in an interview, “The car was incredible, incredible to drive. We are constantly looking to get a better car setup with all the crew, always trying to find our ultimate potential. Spa is the drivers favorite track to drive.”
